The oil group, led by Vittorio Mincato, today finalized the acquisition of 33.34% of Portuguese energy company Galp. With the acquisition of this stake, Eni becomes the strategic partner of Galp in the oil and gas. Eni has acquired the package by the Portuguese State for a share of 11%, and 22.34% by holding Petrocontrol. The CEO of Eni said: “With this important operation, the group is an important step forward in its expansion plans in the European gas sector.”
